Tentang Pengarang:
 Eliezer Wiesel (lebih dikenal sebagai Elie) (lahir 30 September 1928) adalah seorang novelis, filsuf, humanitarian, aktivis politik, dan korban holocaust Yahudi yang berhasil bertahan. Ia menulis lebih dari 40 buku, yang paling terkenal di antaranya adalah Malam, yaitu sebuah memoar yang menggambarkan pengalaman-pengalamannya selama Holocaust.
Wiesel dianugerahi Penghargaan Perdamaian Nobel pada 1986.
