The bibliography contains 5,765 titles of books, chapters in books, and articles in pe-riodicals about the oral tra-ditions of the Southeast Asian and Pacific area, in par-ticular of the Austronesian peoples, including those in Australia and New Zealand. By far the majority of the titles deal with Indonesia and Malaysia, not surprisingly since materials on these countries form the core of the KITLV Library collection.
